If you follow me on Instagram then you know that I was lucky enough to spend the whole day with the Centre des Monuments Nationaux and some other lovely bloggers!
We had an awesome schedule planned... 5 Parisian Monuments in one day! What a challenge...
Perfect, especially because I had only visited one on the list!

I'm ashamed to say that even though I've lived in Paris for 5 years I hardly ever take the time to visit some of Paris' most beautiful monuments... After my day I've been inspired to take more time out and just visit...

Here was our tour...

I would highly recommend this as a day of discovery for anybody wanting to come to Paris for their holiday(or even a Parisian who wants to get cultured up!

 Chateau Champs sur Marne
A beautiful castle just outside of Paris, with the most beautiful gardens you have ever seen(my photos don't do it justice!) We got to discover the inside of this beautiful castle where we could see many items of furniture and deco that really show the change in times and how the owners tastes in deco varied A LOT..
Plus, at present they have a expo showing you history through clothes( running until 12 September)

Jardin de Palais Royale
I know this place very well... You will often find me here at the weekend just browsing through the shops and grabbing a coffee. However, I had never eaten there before... We had the pleasure of eating in the beautiful restaurant "Le restaurant Palais royale"... Let me tell you.. It was so yummy! Plus it just received it's first Michelin star... Wow...

Sainte Chapelle
After our lunch we headed over to Saint Chapelle, a place I had never even heard of until that day.
I have to admit I was stunned.. tucked away behind the courts of justice is this beautiful church with those stain glass windows... I recommend waking up early and being the first there! Not only will you get a beautiful photo but you will also appreciate just how stunning it is.

Conciergerie
My favorite place....Underground and a former prison- which held no other than Marie- Antoinette who was held for a couple of months before her execution....We managed to get the full story from our guide that was truly passionate about her job.
And oui... we also got some blogger style photos too.. hahaha.

 Arc De Triomphe
One of the highlights of the tour was at the end when we got to climb to the very top of the Arc de Triomphe. A truly magical moment with people I think I'll be friends with for a long time...

And yes.. It was the first time for me to go to the top of the Arc.. I know shame on me right! After 5 years too!

  2. All so beautiful. Next Paris trip I am going to the Jardin de Palais Royale and eat, haha! And I didn't know you could go into the Conciergerie. Know that you are so lucky. I used to live in Paris as a student and still think of it almost daily. It is magical so enjoy!
